The EA Donation Swap system makes it possible for more donors to get tax credits when donating, by matching donors together who donate to each other’s favourite charity or fund so both donors get tax credits. The tax benefits will mean EAs will have more money in their pocket, or more money will be donated to effective charities.
Donation swaps help people who want to donate to a charity or fund that is not tax deductible in their country.
And swaps require donors from countries that have a large number of tax deductible charities or funds, especially AMF donors from the US, UK, Canada, Germany and Switzerland.
The minimum donation is 250 USD (or equivalent amount in your currency) for all countries except Ireland which has a minimum of €250 as this is the minimum donation amounts to receive government contribution.

We currently don’t know the legal status of swapping your donation in most countries. The EA donation swap cannot guarantee your government will give you tax credits at the end of the year as a result of your donation. You are responsible for claiming your tax credits.
